Asian Festival of Children’s Content (AFCC) 2010
Showcasing Asian Content for Children
Over a billion children in Asia benefit from a wide selection of edutainment material from the West, whereas Asian material, little as it happens to be, is seldom promoted, hence left largely unexplored. Our source of such material, however, is rich, as is our talent to produce content based upon it. It is therefore critical that we build a showcase which can draw the attention of creators and producers on the one hand, while involving parents, teachers and children on the other. This will help redress an imbalance between the availability of Asian edutainment content and the need for all round growth of our children based on it.
This showcase, a premier annual event, titled Asian Festival of Children’s Content (AFCC), will include segments such as Asian Children’s Media Mart, associated rights markets, a Conference for Writers and Illustrators of Children’s books, workshops, master classes, and Programs that award writers, illustrators, publishers for Children’s Content. AFCC will grow to be the preeminent convention in Asia for edutainment.
